He dreamt and he realized — this is the story of Sri Eye Care, established by Dr Sriprakash in 1994. In an aim to beat blindness, Dr Sriprakash envisioned a hospital that provided quality eye care using advanced technology. Sri Eye Care was thus born, to build a bright future for generations to come.

Dr K S Sriprakash

Chairman, Sri Eye Care

Dr K S Sriprakash is an ophthalmologist by profession, a yogi by passion, and a leader by instinct. As the former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and former Director of Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, he has decades of experience to his name, both as a seasoned doctor and administrator. He has performed over 100,000 cataract surgeries including advanced techniques such as phacoemulsification, cornea grafting procedures, glaucoma filtering surgeries as well as pediatric and squint surgeries.

Dr Karthik Sriprakash

Medical Director, Sri Eye Care

The expertise of Dr Karthik Sriprakash ranges from phacoemulsification and ReLEx SMILE to advanced surface ablation, corneal collagen cross-linking, and retinal laser procedures. Being one of the primary cataract and refractive surgeons at the hospital, Dr Karthik has proved his prowess through multiple surgeries and paper presentations. He was recently awarded the International Hero in Indian Ophthalmology award by the All India Ophthalmic Society in 2020.

Dr Pinto Kiran

Dr Pinto Kiran comes with 8 years of experience and is one among the few in India to hold a double FAICO (Fellowship of the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology) degree. His specializations include phacoemulsification, pediatric ophthalmology, and oculoplastic surgery. He has performed around 5,000 surgeries such as DCR, squint, and retinoblastoma.

Dr Roopa Manjunath

Dr Roopa Manjunath is a qualified oculoplasty surgeon from Royal Wolverhampton Hospital, UK. After gaining extensive experience in ophthalmic medicine and surgery, she went on to specialize in oculoplasty procedures such as canalicular laceration repair, punctal procedures, electrolysis of misdirected lashes, and minor lid reconstruction.

Dr Rajesh Babu

Dr Rajesh Babu, a consultant at Sri Eye Care, is an expert ophthalmologist. Besides an MBBS and an MS degree in Ophthalmology, he also holds an MSc in Community Eye Health from the International Centre for Eye Health in London. His passion to help people suffering from HIV/AIDS has led him to work on more than 200 cases of CMV retinitis, a condition of the eye that usually affects those with AIDS.

Dr Kavitha Manivasagan

With over 12 years of experience in comprehensive eye care and oculoplasty, oncology, orbit, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgeries, Dr Kavitha Manivasagan is a skilled ophthalmologist and academician. She has gained experience in all kinds of oculoplasty surgeries and lacrimal orbit surgeries and has carried out more than 7,000 surgeries to date.

Dr Shilpa N

Dr Shilpa N, a trained cataract and glaucoma surgeon, is a consultant doctor at Sri Eye Care. She takes special interest in continuous IOP monitoring and has published and presented several papers on glaucoma and related eye diseases.
